Creative Public Engagement

Our creative public engagement activities will address the known lack of integration between community assets and health and social care in Blackpool, Hastings and Weston-super-Mare. We will co-produce and evaluate participatory arts and culture activities, working with and investing in local creatives to curate and deliver exhibitions, stand-alone events and festivals related to our three priority areas:

  • young people’s mental health and wellbeing
  • drug and alcohol (substance) use
  • serious illness and bereavement

We will be sharing information about opportunities to get involved as the project progresses. We hope these activities will strengthen partnerships, build community trust and momentum, and support collaborative working and community engagement.

Good Grief Festival

Our engagement work on serious illness and bereavement will draw on the award-winning Good Grief Festival approach. Our first project engagement event was Good Grief Weston, 10-13 October 2024! Good Grief Weston
